Default Flywheel removal

I am trying to remove the flywheel from my 350x here and i have the fw removal tool, but didnt realize i needed the gosh darn fw holder. Is there anyway of securing the fw so i dont have to go out and spend more money on the holder? I have tried one of those craftsman strap wrenches and that busted, i also tried using a rachet strap and that busted as well (it was pretty old though)
Any thoughts ideas? Any secret ways?

Thanks guys!

with some quads or motorcycles you can put a penny (must be a penny) in the gear behind the flywheel so it locks the teeth against the other gear. The penny is soft enough you won't hurt the gear. If you don't have a gear i don't have any idea how you could do it otherwise.
