need a little help fellas. doing some routine stuff(changing oil, checking fluids, and such) before the big ride tomorrow, i stand the kodiak up to mess with a skid plate. set it back down to load up onto the trailer for the morning and it wont start. electrical system is fine. seems to not be getting gas.... Maybe this is something even a rookie would know? yet I cant get it to start for anything... any ideas? thanks

the first thing that comes to my mind is that when you stood it up you had some crap in your tank which caused it to slide to the back of the tank and get caught in the valve. try blowing out all the hoses or take the line off at the carb and make sure you're gettnig fuel.

Its pretty common for a no start after standing on end..did you turn the gas tank valve to off, before standing it up? Did you check for gasoline in the air filter and box? If the air filter is soaked with gas, clean it good and reoil it.
It might just be flooded real bad. Try a new spark plug, the one that is in there, may be hopelessly fouled. And as long as youll have the spark plug out, check for spark while cranking, just to be sure the kill switch or fuse isnt blown.

Cheaper way to defoul a plug is to pull it out and take a lighter to bottom of it, it will burn all of the excess gas and crud off of it.

For some reason NGK plugs don't seen to ever fire again after they get fouled. I had them in my raptor and if you didn't let in warm up a couple of min. in the winter it would backfire and die if tried to pull right out. I took the plug out and and it was wet so I light it up and it dried off, looked fine but never fired again. this same thing happened on my '06 and my '07. I changed to a splitfire plug and it never happened again
