I wouldnt do it in my dirt bikes..but did own a lawn mower many years ago(3hp briggs) that only ran on premix. I only had 2 strokes at the time and didnt ever have straight gas. It lasted over 20 years before dieing.

Are you asking if 2 cycle oil in the gasoline of a 4 stroke engine is a good idea? Or are you asking if 2 cycle oil in the crankcase of a 4 stroke engine is a good idea?

I wouldn't do either if it were me.

Just wondered what good doing this does to your motor? What did you hear? In other words, what are you trying to fix by doing this?

no it doesn't do you any good. but it is a good way to get rid of old mixed gas that you don't wanna run in your smoker. lol I wouldn't run it in anything high perf. I REALLY wouldn't run it through your Raptor.

i heard if you put a little 2 cycle in your gas (by little, i mean a cap full) it helps with lubrication. i just wanted to check with you guys first. i'm not gonna do it...a guy i ride with is gonna try it in his yfz450. i told him to ask around first but he's to much of a dumbass to listen to me. thanx for the help guys.

why is the sky blue? Cuz god rides a Yamaha

On a two stroke, because they don't have an oil sump, you need the oil for lubrication of the crank, rod and bearings.
Four strokes do not need oil in their gas because they have an oil sump to lube these things. Don't put oil in you gas because:
#1 It's not needed.
#2 It will lower octane and could cause detonation.
#3 It can cause plug fouling.

Leave the oil mixing to the two stroke boys. Your four stroke does not need it in the fuel.

One thing that oil in the gas will do is clog up any paper fuel filters if you have one. A cap full wouldnt but if you mix it like a two stroke then it probably would.Like these other guys told you its a waste of time but if you want to then try it.I wouldnt put to much though cause like these other guys said it might make you foul plugs and may reduce the performance of your atv.

I would think that the extra oil in the gas would also contribute to more carbon deposits on the valves, and actually shorten the time interval between engine rebuilds. I wouldn't do it.
