Default 2 Stroke oil in a 4 stroke

this is an old truckers trick, to dump a little premix or atf into the tank twice a year to keep the injectors lubed, my fathers big truck has over 2.3 million Ks on it and he does this, not bad in my opinion but with your 4-stroke gasonline raptor or yfz i wouldnt do it, a cap full wouldnt do any harm but would waste the money from your wallet

All it will do is make your bike run lean. With a small percentage of non-burning oil mixed in with the fuel, the burnable fuel/air mixture will be leaner than if it was all fuel. The same amount of fluid gets aspirated into the air passing thru the carb, but less is burnable. The extra lubrication is unnecessary, the engine is designed to lubricate all necessary components.

You won't find it in any 4 stroke owners manual to do this. Like everyone else said, it's a waste and on a small engine will do more damage than good.

Now if I had just pulled an old 350X 4-stroke 3 wheeler out of the woods that had been sitting for 5 years, then yeah, maybe put a little oil in the gas, to lube up the rusty engine, but not on a newer bike that has been running great.

hey when i got my 350x, it had been sitting for 8 years on a guys back porch. i poured brakef;uid in the cylander and turned it over until it all blew out the sparkplug hole.

Cleaned the carb, which took 2 days....

Its fired right up, pissed my buddy that had a mint one off, since he ussually had to kick for 30 mins to get his to fire.
