Well I just installed the winch not too long ago (over the winter) and took it out of the garage yesterday and rode for a minute. I noticed the roller fairlead on the front rattles alot. The rollers seem to be the culprits. Anyone else experience this? Any fixes? If i tighten the bolts all the way down the rollers wont spin freely which would be bad i think..

 

never herd of this but if you can tighten the bolts just enough were it will spin but not ratle that would be best but if you tighn them all the way it would be bad if they dont spin cuse after you use it a wal they will start to rust and bend so they wont move any way at lest thats what hapen to my older farlings

 

atv's rattle, period....get used to it! LOL! Definitely not made by Toyota!!!!

 

Mine on my 04 600 rattles as well. Maybe somthing to do w/ design for the 04 sportsmans I don't know but I just sinch dow the winch cable/ hook and deal w/ the rattle!

 

Thanks for the input-Dodge57Hemi I dont think it really has to do with being an 04 600 though. It is only the fairlead on the Warn RT25 winch. Ill have to deal with it I guess.

 

I don't think so ither but I have not come up with a fix as of yet. I guess the rattle just starts to become lost in the background over time.
