scramler 500 4x4 vs. 400ex?
#2
The 400EX will be much faster. I've dragged a guy on a Sport 400, and I spanked him with my 400EX. A Sport is faster than a Scrambler, so in a straight line, a 400EX will crush a 500 4x4. On the trails, it won't be much contest at all.

The 400ex is faster than a Polaris, and in the woods, hands down, the 400 is far superior. But if you are looking for just FLAT OUT SPEED get a Banshee! Then again, you are going to a 2 stroke kick start bike with the Banshee. You have to decide what else you will use the bike for.

stock for stock, I think the 400ex will win. If you consider some modifications, a 400 scrambler can accelerate faster than a shee, but still lacks top speed (a little).
Most of all, the 400EX is LIGHTER!! (<- light machines are better)

Thanks for your words of wisdow.LOL.
The only about you that I fear is a carb blowin' off your raptor and smacking me in the head.
Next time try backing your statements before you write.

Well FearThiisRaptor
A couple of my friends have raptors and guess what I would not own one if I could buy it new for $3000 they are useless any where's but hard pack or sand it is completely futile to even try to drive them in the snow or mud I bought a Quad I could drive 12 months of the year not 6.
They have tried to come out with us a couple of times but pulling and pushing them every time they are stuck is a pain. So we don't even bother to ride with them because it is no fun spending half the day pushing them out of the snow every ten minutes ...........But on lighter side get them on the fire roads and they go like stink Very Fast.....
I am not wanting to come off like I am bashing your ride...... But to each his own ride.
As far as my Polaris being junk I have not had one single problem with it like everyone said I was goin to but it has been more reliable than any of the other bikes i ride with which includes all brands. So I know that your Mother's Brother's sisters boyfriends cousine know's someone has a Polaris and it is junk but mine is fine
Sorry For Ranting On your Honda form had to Vent.
P.S I like all Brands of bikes but Like Polaris Best...........LOL

I love putting this up to show all the Raptor lovers who is still the KING! Gabe put this up, and as you can see for an underpower bike that can't keep up with the Raptor, the 400ex is still doing well! You tell me which bike hadles better?
I looked at the FTR series and here's what I found for the 4 stroke A class - last 3 races for the 2000-2001 Season - reperesenting races run from November to current. Looks like a sea of 400EX's still dominating.
