Pure Polaris FMF for Outlaw 525 irs?
#1
I was looking at the FMF slipons for my Outlaw 525 and I can get 15-20% off of items from Pure polaris through my dealer and I was wondering what the FMF exhaust they sell is? Is it a Power core, Q4, or the 4.1? Or is it a custom one that Polaris hired FMF to build?
I plan on getting just the slipon and the airbox mod from ehs will be soon to follow. This will give me a K&N, ehs lid mod, JD jetting and FMF slipon so Is the Pure Polaris version a good one or should I opt for the 4.1 from FMF? I wish Pure Polaris website had more info on the FMF pipe they sell.
My main reason besides performance is I want my outlaw to sound like it rides. My scrambler sounds badazz with the White Bros. and the stock Outlaw sounds weak compared to the scrammy. I have all the mods to make it look great now I want it to sound great

The online catalog is where I found the FMF pipe. It says nothing about it other than it is an FMF and is 4+ lbs lighter than stock. It doesn't say what FMF exhaust it is based off of or any specs from it.

From the looks of the cannister & especially the endcap, it's a Power Core 4.
Don't know about the performance on the 525, but I do know when I owned my 400ex I had a Power Core 4 & the gains were outstanding on the Honda engine with this pipe.

Hey jimk72, I have the exact set up your looking at but I put it all on at the same time so I'm not sure about just the FMF making a difference. I can tell you I like the sound of the pipe, and I love the way my bike performs. Get it.

Looks like I may have to stop by the dealer and see what he can get it for. Thanks for all the suggestions and help. Then I will start saving up for the airbox mod lid and then the tweaking of the carb to get it dialed in for summer
