re-gear also.
Try 13/37 combo, that's what I have on mine.
I also went to a 480 kit with ported and polished head, stage II Hotcam and full Yosh system.
Lots of power now.

Get a Stage 2 cam with a higher comp piston and try to find a local place to get a port and polish done on the head and then get a rev box to open the motor up. The BEST thing you can do that is relatively inexpensive is a Boyesen Quickshot accelerator pump cover. You'll notice better throttle response and the bike won't bog down as much.

Just for a reference, I recently did all of the above to my bike and the costs were as follows:

Stage 2 Cam: $125
13.5:1 Piston: $150
Port & Polish: $300
Full Exhaust: $480 (I already had the slip on, got it converted to a full pipe from HMF)
Dynatek Revbox: $175

The only thing I am lacking on my list is the Boyesen Quickshot cover ($75-$90).

Everything totals to: $1,320.00

I also saved some money by installing everything myself.

My bike absolutely flies and I was able to runaway from some local competition over the weekend until I rolled the bike while leading in my 2nd heat race on Saturday and screwed up my shoulder (getting an MRI tomorrow actually, X-Rays turned out ok). Those changes really opened my bike up and I was out running Raptors (660's and 700's), YFZ's, LTR's, and other TRX 450R's, and the occasional 400's that were running with us. Took the hole shot in both my heats, so I know the bike is definetely much faster. I ran my bike with a jet kit and a slip-on pipe last year and was 6th out of 6 bikes last year in my heats (all 4 heats as well as 2 Mains). Well worth the money if you want to turn heads and make people notice you.
