trailer flooring for my soon to have ltd
#1
ok i am getting a ltd soon maybe this week i think
i have a old seadoo jetski trailer with no bunks i used to move that i put a plywood floor on
it made it a year
i want something that will look good and last for ever
the trailer is just a frame but is well built and is gal. steel and has no rust
Also since it is a jetski trailer sits real low to the ground which i think will help with loading and unloading
]the trailer is about 4x8 on the frame area plus the tonge lenth
i was thinking diamond plate but i can not find a 4x8 sheet and not sure if it will hold the weight which the atv weight is 707 pounds
also what would you use for a ramp that you could attach to the trailer and just fold down
or would you just go with some removeable ramps
also he tires are kind small should i think about going bigger since i need new tires

remember it is hard to make a silk purse from a pigs ear. what size are the wheels? what is the frame made of? expanded steel (or diamond mesh) is the way to go. it does not hold debris and is light weight. i would use 1/8 thick with 1 inch mesh pattern. depending on the frame cross rail gap (no more than 16 inches between rails) you could also run some rails under where the wheels from the LTD will run for extra support. i would use 14 inch wheels as a minimum for the trailer. if you are going to run side rails on the trailer, make these out of 1 1/2 inch square tubeing, .095 thick. this will add stiffening so the trailer will not sag at the ends. i know this system will work. (i build custom trailers in my shop)
