Default what is basic

upkeep for a yfz 450? how often do u have to do this? and is it hard to do?

oil change and air filter cleaning... It depends on how hard you ride... but I like to change my oil every 7-10 hours of riding... or every 3 months... which ever comes first... heh... (don't get to ride it much)

Some will tell you to change it after every ride... IMO, that's just too much unless you're mx'n...

Air filter, to me is more of an eye thing... I keep an eye one it, and if I feel it's too dirty... I get a new one... (yeah, I could clean it, but buying a new pre-oiled one is just a lot easier for me... ) If you're running a K&N... you should think about using an outerwear cover...

if its stock yeah, they say change the oil after every ride, but that is actually for the bikes, not the atv's. After about a year, you may have to adjust the valves, n thats a pain...
