Raptor 660 Carb Issue
#1
So I add the new jets to my set of carbs for my Raptor, put everything back together, and then go to set the air mixture before mounting them back up. One of the air mixture screws, is stripped completely out. There is NO flat head slit on the tip of the screw AT ALL. WTF? Who strips out an air mixture screw? Ive tried to get it out, and its hopeless. I pulled the other one completely out, and I can see some gas gummage on the screw, like at one time it sat for a bit and gummed up. That would explain how the other screw "locked" in to place, and some (insert expletive here) twisted away at the head, until it was no more.
Is it possible to repair the carbs once this has happened? Can I take it somewhere to have it removed, so a new one can be put in? Are the carbs trashed now? Anyone seen this happen before?
I bought this bike used, and more and more I am finding odds and ends that were completely neglected, or done "half ...". Hopefully, (and I may be overly optimistic in thinking this way) once I get the carbs all set, that will be the last major thing I have to correct.
