Default SP 400HO VS King Quad 400

The June 08 issue of Dirt Wheels Mag. has a 7 page spread pitting the 400HO against the King Quad 400 for anyone that is interested.
It is generally a good piece that makes some pretty good points, mixed in with some glaring inaccuraties...

Just good to see the 400HO get some press coverage!

They are an excellent all around tire and are surprisingly agressive...actually, they have worked MUCH better in the mud then I originally thought they would!
I need to be REALLY careful on lawn crossings or they will distroy any grass they come close to.

They do pickup a little vibration when pushing toward higher speeds, 45-50+ mph but are quite good at trail speeds...
The only surface I haven't tried them on is sand and I have this feeling they may be a bit too agressive and dig down in sand instead of pushing through it...I will have to do some sand work to find out for sure.

Yeah, i bet they'd hate to see the winch on the front of my 08 400HO after they said there was no room for none

I guess that's why they're writers not riders.
People who know and love quads ride them, and other people just write about them.

yeah, I agree completely, there were several coments that just didn't make sense and seemed that they made their minds up before they even climbed on the bikes...But in the end they really seemed to like the 400 HO and stated it was the better trail bike and more fun to ride...

Some people are so prejudiced it's disgusting. They should keep an open mind and ride the quads so they can form an intelligent, informed opinion afterward. I get so tired with people saying, "Oh, I wouldn't like that!", and making up their minds beforehand. I don't care if it's trying out a new quad or a new kind of food. You don't know until you try it.
