50cc Action USA Quad
#1
I can get this quad to fire. It has always been a really tough starting quad and know it won't start at all anymore. I cleaned out the carb and checked if it has spark (it does) but it just won't start. I am at a loss here and don't know what to do. Does any one know where I should have the idle screw position? What else do I check for or do? Plus you can only kick it over so many times before you want to throw the thing (no electric start)

on a two stroke engine you only need 3 things to make it run. 1. ignition 2. fuel
3. compression. saying that and you already stated you had ignition, spray a little starting fluid in the carb, if it starts then it may be a fuel system failure, if it doesn't start ( lack of compression) then you know it time for new piston and rings.

Thanks for replying chineseatvmechanic. Yeah i just tried spraying a little starting fluid in the carb to no success. It did not start so I guess its time for an overhaul. Do you know what the compression is suppose to be as I will check the compression tomorrow before i attempt the overhaul. Is it a pretty easy job to do (i have never done this type of thing before or should I take it somewhere to get done?
