Honda Rincon which tire & size?
#1
I just picked up a 2004 Honda Rincon 650. It has ITP alum. wheels and ITP Holeshot tires. I am think about going with a different tire for better traction like the Mudlite or the 589. What tire do some of you guys run? Also, should I go to a 26" tire or stay with the 25"? Thanks

What kind of riding do you do? If your main goal is doing deep mud riding, maybe some 26" 589's?
Most of my riding is trail and technical riding, mostly in big rocks or loose dry stuff (mud is a brief season here), so retaining the good handling and ride of the Rincon is important for me- with good traction in dry loamy conditions and rocks. For my use, I'm thinking radials like the Bighorns would be a good choice, or maybe Mudlite XTR's, probably in 25"...

I went out and bought 26" swamplites for my Rinny and I can say they were too big for trail riding. Lost alot of power. I sent them back and got the 25" swamplites. They are OK.. It's like riding on little bird feet. Mudlite is just a good all round tire. To do it over next time. I would put 25" ATR Holeshots on it. I feeel they woulld be great in trail riding. Don't really do much mudding in upstate NY.
