atc or a giovanni ?

Hi guys, I am getting ready for the up and coming moose season in northern ontario and I am planning to buy a hunting machine before I go up in the fall. I only plan on using this vehicle for pretty much 2 weeks of the year for hunting, so I cant really justify spending big bucks on a new machine until I know for sure its for me. So my plan was to keep it under $1500 and get either a older Honda Big Red atc in mint condition or buy one of those cheap chinese things. I really dont have big expectations, just want something that can cross the occasional 1 foot deep water pass and some occasional muddy trails, other than that I will be on logging roads mostly. I just want it to be fairly reliable. I think Im leaning towards a nice old atc, since I suspect that the chinese atvs have reliability issues. Just wanted to know what the majority says

My buddy has a old honda 250 big red and that thing is near indestructable, he rides that thing like he is pissed of at it and it never quits. Jumps, Mud, Water,Sand, it dontmatter he makes it thru.I have a 650 brute force and I tell you right now that big red goes just about everwhere I go just not as fast.
I have never owned a chinese quad nor do I know anyone personally who has. So all I can do is vouch for the honda reliability. Maybe someone else can chime in who has some experiance with the chinese bikes.

Avoid Chinese junk like the plague. Other people with Chinese quads have had them delivered broken, with parts missing and on backorder for months, or broke the first day, or burst into flames while riding. The truth is Chinese factories are full of children, slaves, and prisoners. When you buy Chinese, you support the oppressive Communist government. Google "Chinese slaves", "child labor", and "chinese labor law violations" to see for yourself. ANY used non-Chinese quad is better than a new Chinese model.

thanks for the info. I was just wondering because I already have bought a couple of little 50cc atvs from a chinese brand and they have been okay at best. If I have known about the whole child labour thing I probably would of avoided them as well. Anyways I have already made up my mind to buy a atc, infact I have already looked at a couple but havent bought nothing yet because Im holding out for a mint one in my price range..thanks again guys
