can't shift anymore

Default can't shift anymore

i have a 1998 kawasaki bayou220. It is stuck in reverse, i'm not sure what to do
to fix this problem. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Default can't shift anymore

"The shift linkage was slighty out of adjustment and the gears became unmeshed and have broken, or the circlip holding one of the gears in place on the shaft let go causing the gears to slip out of place. Either way, it will require pulling the engine and splitting the case".
