Hello Everybody,
I'm working on a 04' 500 Sportsman, the starter turns over, I get no fire.
Checked all the wiring, looks fine.

Any ideas?

don't see any fuses?

 

Ok,stupid question here but is the run stop switch on the left handle bar set to the run position? Second thing to look for is does it have spark? Next thing is how old is the gas and is it getting gas?

Your right.

yes the switch is on and checked out.
No spark.
Gas is good and flowing.

 

some 04 500s had the plug wire pinched between the body and chassis,try to run another temporary plug wire .

 

also for the heck of it try to pull start it to see if its getting fire to it.
