Brakes
#1
Ok, some of you may remember me posting about finding brakes for an APC 90cc two stroke. I've found it impossible to find parts for this machine, however I am not all S O L. I did find a company who will re lign the brake shoes for me for around $25 each. Three shoes = $75, not too bad in my opinion. Anyway I am posting here for the rest of you who may need the same thing and just to share a resource. Check out www.allfrictions.com they will re lign basically anything according to their website. All you have to do is email them and let them know what you have and what you need and they will reply promptly. I will be sending my shoes in next week to have them done and I will let y'all know how it turns out.

hmmm, well I'm sure you've been looking on all the sites that have Chinese parts. Did you ever think of tracing the outline of the pad on a piece of paper and asking one of those guys if you could fax it to them...maybe they would have something that would fit. Many of these bikes have interchangeable parts and people don't know it simply because they are stocked as a part for a particular "brand" or "model". So the guys at these part places just look at there computer screens and say..NO, we don't carry that one.
>it's good to have that site for resurfacing the old pads. I guess if all else fails, at least you will have brakes.
>I wish Chinese quad parts availability would become more of a issue to the manufactures of these ATVs. I think right now they want to sell, sell, sell, and want to then sell us another one when they break. They Don't want us to be able to fix them easily.
>My buddy owns a Honda/Yamaha dealership, he says Chinese ATVs are a nightmare for him. People are constantly coming in looking for parts or to have them fixed. He won't touch them. Unfortunately the competition from the Chinese ATV market hasn't had any affect on the price of the Japanese quads. I am hoping the quality of the Chinese brands will progress and the Japanese will have to lower their prices...Wishful thinking, I know.

I've never sent any sketches but I have sent measurements to many chinese parts sites and dealers etc.. etc... I agree with you about the whole sell sell sell thinking. I believe the same thing, these chinese bikes will usually not be touched by anyone who owns a atv dealership or shop. I know a family friend who owns a shop and he will not work on them. Oh well maybe one day we'll get lucky and the big japanese companies will start noticing how many people buy these chinese jobs and start lowering their prices.
