does anybody know anything about the new griz 550 i was lookin at the 700 but after some figuring if some things dont pull threw i might have to get a smaller bike.. any info, pros, cons on the griz 550 i would very much appreciate it

 

Nice that Yamaha made a mid class utility ATV, 700 vs 550 specs but with the same price as the regular 700 Grizzlies and other larger ATVs its seems like a bad buy.

Gets worst here is a 550 grizzy for $800 more than a Suzuki KQ 750! KQ 750 vs 550 Grizzly Thats just nuts !

 

550 grizzly is in the same chassis as the 700, only cost 800 less. IMO if you don't want the extra power, then save yourself 800 bucks...if not is a no brainer.

 

The 550 is an excellent machine - I had the chance to ride one for a day, and I loved it. It is cheaper than the 700 - and since it's build on the 700 platform, it's the same size and comes with all of the great features of the 700. The version I rode was Fi and had power steering - which was AWESOME!!!! You can save money and get the version without power steering, but once you use it you won't want anything less! If you are looking for something VERY similar to the 700, but with a bit less punch, then the 550 is the way to go. If you are looking for a machine that is actually PHYSICALLY smaller than the 700, then you will need to look at the 450's, I believe.....
