Mudlite 27's
#1
Hello...
I purchased a 2007 Honda Rubicon this Spring and changed the factory tires from 25" to 26' MUDLITES, 10's on the rear, and 9's on the front. I cannot tell any change in handling dynamics, if any at all caused by the additional 11/2" higher clearance.
I am thinking about upgrading to 27". I will keep the 9" width on the front and 10" width on the rear to still keep them inside the fender flares, just the increase to 27".
My question is, how much difference do you all think I will see and feel in the handling dynamics over the original factory 25's and the 26's I am running now. I have seen some great replies to questions here and feel that I will get a more realistic information here than I will from the local dealers.
I have a friend with a Rubicon just like mine and he has expressed the desire to buy the 26's that I have now, so I will still have a minimal investment in the 27's.
Thanks, Tradermike

You wont notice much difference in 26 to 27, i'm running 9's on the front of my Foreman and 11's on the rear. I went with the Mud Lite XTR radials, and they are amazing. They handle better then any other tire I've had yet.

Thankz for the reply.
I'm somewhat a conservative safety person and I am concerned that I may cross that line of stability of riding up and down and off camber trails without realizing it all for the looks and traction performance of a 1" taller tire.
I think I will do the swap and go to the 27's.
