I recently bought a 1984 200ex yamaha 3 wheeler (well actually like a year ago) but it used to run, i could pull start it with another four wheeler or SUV, but the electric start would not start it would make a putter noise but it would not turn over. But now i cannot pull start it, when i try to pull it and pop it into gear the tires simply will not roll. Any help, ideas, or recommendations would be helpful thank you!

 

Need more info here. If you put it into, say, third gear then will the engine turn? Can you shift the gears. What's wrong with the pull start? Does the engine turn over at all?? If it's locked up that tight it could be seized. How did it run last time you heard it? If the only way to get it going was pulling it with a quad, that's not good.

My old YTM200EK (83) had a dead battery and the pull starter snapped. I started it on the grass by putting it in second gear, lifting the back and droping it down while pushing. It usually does not take much to start these things.

 

Ok, i got it to pullstart on a paved road with another quad and it sounds pretty much fine. I started tinkering with it today and i found that there is no juice coming out of the CDI unit assembly (had to look that up online as i really dont know a whole lot about three wheelers) but there is juice/power going into the CDI unit but there is no juice coming out to the coil so i have no spark. Where can i get one of these?
