posting for a friend, his bike starts and runs smoking, and wont rev, the plug looks like the fuel is wetting it clean at the bottom of the thread, no carbon, new top end, have tested the choke rubber to seal, the stator coil exciter is the one slightly out of resistance range, spec is 245 ohm, it tests at 273 ohm, i belive this is the power source for the cdi, and the pulser is the firing sequence, pulser spec is 20-60 ohms, tests at 32, good, coil primary specs at 0.2-0.8 ohms, tests 0.4, good, secondary specs at 8-15k ohms, test at 9.2, good. the carb was recently rebuilt, and looks good, pointing to weak ignition, the exciter resistance isnt off that much, but has to be a concern, any thoughts form any one with experience with this bike, the guy already changed the coil, and cdi, with the same results, thanks for reading, joe.
