Default CHANGE YOUR OIL FELLAS

Posted recently about 06 ranger with no oil in tank! Personal machine of woman rancher that has 7 Rangers! Bought 5 from us and 2 from another dealer, have not serviced this machine before. Will teardown later this week if have time and access damage. She said she has had serviced several times, but what little oil in machine was consistency of syrup! This probably chump change for her,but for MOST including me this is not in my budget! She said she had dealer service several times,BUT who knows. The point of post is 2 quarts of PROPER oil and filter on a REGULAR basis is still the BEST insurance! Hope this sinks into some that think ANY oil or Filter will do or that Once every year is good enough on maintenance! Especially anyone in North Texas area! I got enough work to do as is!

Ive always been taught to use the recommended oil rating & viscosity, to buy the best you can afford and change it earlier then recommended & as stated above-- OIL IS CHEAP INSURANCE, cry about $5+ per qt or cry about a $1000+ rebuild--not a hard choice to make is it?

Wow, that is low on oil. Just cant see why polaris can not put in an oil warning light of some kind on ATV's?? Even cheap little honda and briggs engines come standard with low oil shut down protection on them!! You can damage an engine quicker with an oil issue than a coolant issue. so why just the coolant light? Just my 2 Cents.

Yah, they cheap everything out. A 15 dollar sensor/warning light or a $1000 repair bill for you the customer. I would rather pay the 15 dollars up front. LOL. Part blame goes to polaris when issues like this happen.

Check your oil before you ride, it takes less than 1 minute. I'd rather spend 1 min. checking oil than 2 hours walking home.

You can ride farther in an hour then you can walk in a day!

Warning lights are junk, its just a bs way to pass the buck when they fail and you blow your motor. Check your oil, they tell you to do so before every ride cuz stuff can happen, not checking your oil on a $7k+ machine is pure lazyness, takes 30 seconds.
