i have to admit i have never changed it...i dont have the book (purchased bike used) i pulled the dip stick tube and i have gas in the gear fluid, the vent tube runs from the carbs to the trans??????????
so will 80/90 weight be ok , or should i use something else

Vent line on trans should be separate from carb drain and vent lines. Models before 96 used a graphite trans flluid,but NOW all machines use AGL even the older ones. 80/90 too thick, if not Polaris brand use oil suitable oil for chain case transmisions. Can usually find at auto stores.

great...i appreciate it...i will have to get another bottle...i have 5w-50 synthetic , would that be good enough or is it too heavy
