I am looking at buying a honda 500 foreman. I know there are a few different models, this one has powersteering, electric shifting, 12volt outlet. Anyway it is a 2008 but it has 800 miles on it. I know the guy who had it and i belive it was mostely trail riding, but anyway should i be worried about the miles?

Thanks Andrew

He wants about $4000, he is trying to get rid of it. Is this a good deal?

Thanks Andrew

I tried looking it up at nada.com but I'm confused about all those different Honda models. If it's the one I think it is, it's worth $5,945.

If any ATV can,t be reliable after only 800 miles I would not even get into the sport.

I put 100 miles on in one ride last weekend.

The Foreman is a solid machine with a good reputation...although most would consider it more of a "work" quad than a pure trail quad. I like the fact that it has a bulletproof manual transmission, with a super low 1st gear so you don't need a transfer case.

The ES electronic shift has not lived up to Honda's usual reputation for being bulletproof. There are always a number of ES problem posts on the board in the Honda forum....and even more lately. I wouldn't say to pass it up just because of that, but just so you know what you are getting into....

Remember for every 1 complaint about the ES system there are Hundreds of trouble free ES systems that you do not hear about.

My 2000 450 ES (2500 miles) Foreman's ES system worked flawlessly and still is for the friend I sold the ATV to.
