Default Sportsman plow question

I have a 2006 Sportsman 450 and am looking for a plow...I have been offered a plow from an 01 Sportsman 500, does anyone know if it will fit? I have done some research but haven't been able to turn up any concrete information.

Thanks!

I an thinking most likely not without modifying it. Went from an 03 500 to an 04 700 and needed different mount but was the sportsman plow that attached @ the hitch.

If it helps at all....the plow says POLARIS across the back side of the blade. The guy offering it doesn't have any documentation that would have come with the plow...so I can't get any more info about the model of it....

If it's a Universal Plus Plow it will fit with no modifications at all. The Pure Polaris website says the Glacier Plow will fit and it won't fit. If it doesn't you need a new mount that costs $100. A 500 mount will supposedly fit a 450 and 700 mount will fit a 600, but the singles and twins use different mounts.

Singles and Twins have different frames.

You can get an old skool mount for your 450 to accept that plow if it has the cam spring locks on the end of the tube extensions.
