Default what kind of utility 4x4 4 wheeler to get?

i want to get a 4 wheeler but cant decide which one to get. i will be using it mostly for trail riding, mudding, pulling a trailer and plowing snow.

i cant decide between a
honda rancher 420
honda rancher 350
honda foreman 500
yamaha big bear 400
yamaha grizzly 450
yamaha grizzly 350

let me know what u think would best suit me needs

the 420 is a solid package and a reasonable price, electric shitft or better yet the foot shifter is available for that model, fuel injected and maybe best yet is the unlockable front end with a lever not a push button , for what your describing that would be a good choice.

not to be a brand hog but I heard the polaris sportsman 400 is pretty good for pulling. I think the trailer hitch can pull like 750lbs. Also you can get a 1500lb winch for like 300$. Just an Idea

the 420 will be less maintenance with its SRA rather than a machine with IRS, wich offers a more plush ride etc...Ive ridden the 420 and the throttle response is great and like you said its reliable.

after being on both the honda 420 and a yamaha 450 i would say that your honda is a workhorse for sure. i live on a farm and we have hondas for pulling, pushing, and all general work. but for play... we ride yamahas. i personally think a yamaha will ride alot better on the trail, although it is a rider to rider type of deal. your grizzly 450 is a great quad and there really isn't alot you cant do with it. Another note... i dont know what kind of muddin your talking about but i personally prefer a SRA in the mud.

The 450 Grizzly has a better ride and much higher Ground clearance because of the IRS and larger 25" tires vs the 420 Ranchers 24" tires, For working the the Grizzly has a low range and diff lock feature for true 4wd for much stronger pulling but thats why 450 Grizzly cost more than a 420 Rancher also.

The 450 Grizzly is really more of a match for the more expensive 500 Foreman ,thats why the put the 450 Grizzly in 500 class shootouts like this 500 Utility shootout

450 Grizzly in another 500 class shootout.
