I think it would be a lot easier to get the Blaster engine running right. It's more work than you realize to swap an engine. Nothing is going to fit right. Getting the engine to fit is the easy part. Then you have to fit the exhaust, air filter, radiator, etc.

But if you insist, I saw a video on youtube about a Blaster with a YZ400 engine in it. A Yamaha engine in a Yamaha frame would be better, don't you think? Like a YZ250 engine, but it will depend on what engine you can find easily.

I have seen more swaps done with blasters than anything. The most comon is the yz250 swap. I have seen yz 125 250 400 490 cr 250 500 and about everything else you can think of. The main problem with using a dirtbike motor is they are not counterbalanced and vibrate like crazy causing crackes in the frame. Im not trying to discurige you im thinking about doing a blaster yz490 swap.

We actually just mounted a yz 85 motor in a Blaster chassis. It was kinda amazing how easy it went in. We just had to make new front mounts and mount a radiator. He is going to race it in the 90 mod class next year.
