96 scrambler 400 leaking antifreeze

Default 96 scrambler 400 leaking antifreeze

my scrammy 400 is leaking antifreeze at the botton of the down tube where it hooks up to the metal line is split do i have to replace the entire down tube help would be apreciated

I think your talking about vent line from counter balancer area,IF this is the tube and purging out coolant then water pump seals are leaking into cavity and need to to be replaced! DO it before damages c/b bearings and then gets costly. OR are you talking about elbow inlet where coolant hose hooks up? If elbow,have to check if can replace,can order on 500 engines. Just checked, IF elbow is what you need,can be replaced

its the elbow line where it connects to the radiator hose

All elbows show to be replaceable,just heat and twist out,can reheat(I would use a little JB weld) and install new elbow. Good luck
