I have a 2003 honda fourtrax 350es thats smokes (blue) it does it all the time when idling or driving, also a little ticking noise as well. It runs and drives perfect just like it did before it started to smoke any ideas what the cause could be and cost to fix it? It started about a month ago.

The top end will have to be removed and the piston/cylinder & valves/guides measured ..

 

so I'm thinking its not a good idea to keep driving it. what kind of money am I looking at to have repaired

 

do a compression test 90-97 psi is good 65 psi and below is bad ,low compression will give you idling problems and blue smoke .
If the compression is good the valve guides are bad and are letting oil in to the piston causing blue smoke.
you can buy a after market cylinder ,piston , rings, and head kit. for $220 - $275 US from amazon or ebay. head gasket set with valve guides $30 - $75 US .
That does not include cost to install .
