I was taking apart my 400ex today to clean and I knocked this connector off so i tried plugging it back in. I find out the inside where it connects to part of the motor snapped. It has a round inside that slips onto a little rod. Does anyone know what this part is?

 

Anyone??? I'm curious now myself!

 

Its right near the shifter, to the left in the picture

 

I asked some friends and several have told me it may be the neutral light. After I put everything back together I checked if it was the neutral light and it was. fyi
