Default my 2005 660 Grizzly wont start?

I have a 2005 grizz 660 .... wonderful machine , there has not yet been a swamp or lake that has held me captive from the other side.

However as of late I was trying to get it started in my shed .... When I hit the ignition it sounds like it doesnt even want to try to turn over. All you hear is like a click click click sound. There seems to be sparks from the engine when I test the plug .

I am getting a new battery but i fear for some reason that this might not be the only problem.

Any suggestions or solutions on what I can do to try to get the grizzz back on the trails as soon as possible?

Can't you use the recoil backup to start it? That would answer if the battery is the only problem or not.

yeah but its a bitch to get going once shes cold. I had to use the recoil back up to start it to move it where it is ( in the garage) . I then left it for like maybe 4 days and went back to it yesterday , I tried using the recoil but she wouldnt start. It would sound like the machine would turn abit but then just stall and thats the most Ive gotten out of it.
When I turn the key the speedometer and the display comes up ... when I originally began having this problem ... I would hit the elctric ignition and it would literally say Er on the display/speedometer.

Hmm. It kind of sounds like there could be a fuel delivery problem although the Er in the display sounds like something different. I had a problem with mine starting a couple years ago and it turned out to be a seized needle in the carburetor. If this is the case, it wouldn't matter how much choke you were giving it because fuel isn't filling the carb bowl to begin with. There is a drain hose on the very bottom of the carburetor along with a drain valve. I would open that valve to see if any fuel comes out of the bowl. If you don't see any fuel, this could be your problem too. How old is the gas you have in the tank?

The click click click is the classic sound of a dead battery. Have you tried jump starting it? Do you have a battery charger?
