i have to keep on the throttle or it will shut off. any ideas?

 

is the carb dirty, is the filter clean? is the carb boot cracked?

 

Take the pilot jet out and clean ALL the holes out in it.

 

i took off the carb but i havent had a chance to clean it yet. maybe tomorrow ill get a chance. i want to get a rebuild kit or a whole new carb but ill see what i can do

well, i cleaned out the carb and put it back together. i put it on the quad and at first it didnt idle but then i realized that i put the choke on while i had the carb off so i didnt lose the cylinder. i turned the choke off and it ran perfect. i think the choke was stuck on which has happened to me before if i recall
