CV Joint Race and Cage Question - '04 SP 700
#1
I should have paid attention but this was the first time I have ever done this.
I am replacing a torn boot on my 2004 SP 700. Everything came apart fine. I'm just not sure what is the right side up of race and cage as I would be looking down into the CV Joint Assembly.
Can someone in the know take a look at my pics and tell me what should be facing out at me?
The correct position of the race appears to be picture #1 if I am not mistaken. I not sure about the cage though.
Thanks guys!

Correct on first picture, concave portion of race faces outward towards driveshaft. Stepped bottom of race in second picture is what locks ring on shaft. Curved portion on roll cage faces up with groove at bottom. roll cage faces upward
