Default 2000 Expedition 425 4x4 Head Light Bulbs.

As you can see by the post count, I'm a FNG.

I've been reading & lurking, and have used the search feature.

I'm not wanting to beat a dead horse, but I need some input.

Does anyone know what the wattage is for these bulbs? (these are dual filement-high/low)
I have a nice set of 55 watt lights that will fit nicely, but I don't want to cook the alternator.

After searching & coming up with several bulb numbers, I'm still at a loss for an after market replacement. All of the suggested numbers that I have found are not a fit for this rig. The dealer gets $35.00 each for these. I'm not thrilled with spending $70.00 plus tax for these little bitty bulbs. I could lose the bulb in my ear!
Yes... I know it is a part of the snap in unit, but I haven't had any luck with that either.

Here's the number for the "unit":
81425
349A

The number on the little bulb is:
E1307
with 333 above it.

If it matters, the bulb has these numbers molded in it:
E9
7

I've searched McMaster & Grainger & the Al Gore Web & Here.......

I am NOT overly skilled at the 'net or computers, so I have very possibly missed something.

If someone knows the wattage or a simple "cheap" replacement, that would be great.

Thanks for looking (and groaning & laughing)

Brett

Thanks for the reply.

I took your advice & wore out the auto parts stores. I actually had a manager at O'reily spend a ton of time trying to cross numbers & find something that would work.

Long story short... no luck at all for this particular bulb.

I'b be thrilled to know the wattage of the factory bulb, so I can wire something new in without smoking the alternator.

30/30. I don't think you will be able to find a substitute.

Take the bulbs with you when you try to interchane.
