Default Tick, clanging, then nothing

i have a 86 225 moto4. I was driving it and it started ticking/clanging really loud all of a sudden, so i turned around and started driving home. it was working almost prefect for a while then all of a sudden i lost power big time. i was in 5th and had to shift down to 4th and it just keep bogging down. i shut it off and towed it home. i tryed starting it again it seemed to be seized solid i could pick the bike of the ground with the pull cord. i got my socket and got it to turn backwards and now it seems to be turning over fine. What do you think the problem is? my guess is something with valves.

sounds like that. just pull the cover off and check them. some times if it gets real hot than it will get stuck. it most likely would be the exhuast valve
