Default Tire question

Hi! I'm new here, but this is a great forum. I've searched through here over the years to find valuable information on my atv. After 8 years, I'm finally replacing my OEM tires on my 2000 Polaris Trail Boss. I just need general use tires... I don't mud or do much in the sand. Usually I'm on caliche roads, grass, and lots of Texas rough rock. My new deer lease this year is covered in a flint-type rock, which is shredding my old tires. I believe I'm going to buy the Swamp lites. Found them at a decent price and they're 6 ply, vs. the 3 ply that came with the bike. My question-- my current front tires are 23x7-10. Swamp lites only go to 23x8-10. Can I mount the wider tire on my stock rims? And, no one around here will install them. Is this hard to do? Any help is really appreciated!

Thanks. I was figuring the rear ones were going to be a hassle.
