do I need the electronic throttle control?
#1
The ETC broke, the little wire broke right where it goes into the switch. So do I need? since the wire broke the machine (95 scrambler400 will not start. Can I just unplug it or what?
#2
I can only repair or replace because of insurance reasons,BUT I'm sure some have by passed the ETC! But before you do, the number one reasons for its being on the machine and on all Polaris machines is that in case the cable was snagged by a tree branch or any other reason, it limits rpm so you dont have a machine running away or worst yet,ON top of you! Just food for thought! Good luck

how would this work to overide it, the etc switch is broke, and I can buy an aftermarket replace ment cheaper that the switch. Would you just have to run a jumper between the two points that the etc plugs into ?

Disconnect black wire from limiter module under front cover and see if starts? When you say switch is broken are you saying wire inside throttle broken at contact points?
