Default another carb question

Aite yall got another problem goin on with my popo. Purchased new carb a week ago got everything hooked up ready to ride. Also put new plugs in it. The problem im having is when im taking off giving it gas you can hear the engine settin off little pops in the exhaust. I do have aftermarket pipe on it an its def louder than stock pipe. Im just wandering that when i bought the carb that i needed to adjust somethin like maybe the clip on the needle maybe but the bozo s at the dealership said i didnt need to mess with it just plug an play. Also when i changed the plugs they were a little grey. Im goin to busco this weekend so i need all the help i can get. Thanx

Pull the plugs again, if they are still white, grey, it,s too lean , you might raise the needle a notch and richen it up but probably need a larger main jet, also take the brass plug out of the bottom so you can adjust the air fuel screw to 2.5 turns out, I've seen these completely shut on 2 different carbs and have'nt found one adjusted right yet. You have to take a small drill bit and drill through just the plug, then screw a sheet metal screw into it and pull it out, I use small vise grips for this.

Aite Kerbbird, I took the carb off and moved the needle clip up 1 notch to the 3rd space. It was on the 4th one. Thats all i did put it back together an it runs fine at idle an not lean nomore. BUT it still has a little pop an sputter under acceleration, For instance if ya hit it ***** tothe wall an let back off an give it gas again it acts like it wants to bog down. So what ya think i should try now?

you might have it jetted wrong for an aftermarket exhaust. i would call the maker of the exhaust or where ever u bought it from. tell them what size main jet is in the carb along with the altitude your mainly going to run it at and they will tell you what size jet to put in it or if the one you have is ok
