spring holding back 500.

took a ride in farm field where top soil is turned over very deep and thick. the resistance on the tires made this 500 feel like a moped. what i'm getting at is machine was encountering so much resistance that as soon as you let off the gas thats where you stayed unless you really floored it alot it would take off again from even 30mph.i'm going to blame the epi brite green primary clutch spring.for one thing its at least an inch longer than the stock blue/green which i don't like because it appears to have near stock spec's and thats why i got it.i dont think its slipping the belt because the sides look flat colored.i believe its holding the primary from going in to bring the belt up.the secondary is set at 2-2+ the buttons have just alittle flat spot.now the white polaris spring looks more like it. just a step up from stock blue/green on this other chart.length is is only a quarter inch longer as opposed to an inch.what do youall think?ftw?

If you have a Polaris white try it.The EPI red is about the same as a Polaris white.I would try the EPI pink. And be sure you wound the secondary correctly.Sounds more like you may have it wound wrong.

well ftw every thing was fine till i got into the turned over dirt.baseball size.before and after, on flatland flys like a rocket.i can (and usually do) floor it from a stand still and it makes incredible acceleration 0 to 40 in a couple seconds.its only when i drove onto the turned soil did it flatten out.i wound the secondary 1/3 turn counter clockwise.the buttons had only a 1/8 flat spot,i lightly sanded smooth the helix and put a light amount of antiseize.
