Default Please Help Honda Mechanic!!!!

I have a 2003 Honda Rancher 4x4. ITP Rims and 25" 589s. Love the bike! When you try to start via the "start button", you just hear a "click" back by the battery. It pull starts on the first pull every time. I don't think it's the battery, the headlights are bright even when the bike is not running. It is the original battery. Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

try hitting the starter with a hammer or screwdriver. If the starter starts working then, you have a bad starter

Use a volt meter (multimeter) put the red positive lead on the starter post and ground the black negative lead to the side of the starter or good ground , turn on the ignition and push the starter button if 12v (battery voltage) registers then the brushes need to be replaced and probably the commutator bars need to be cleaned ... Or replace the starter..
