98 yamaha warrior no spark

ur stator is prolly fried unless you have some bad wiring, you try to jump start it? if you know how to perform ohms tests you can test your stator its suppose to get 180-220 ohms i think

I have a 200o warrior that was'nt getting anything from the start button to the starter, ran all the tests the clymer manual said to run. (clymer Manuals suck) half the wiring that i was checking didnt match what they had listed ,,, anyway so after i bought a new cdi and that didn't fix it????
I started going through the wiring harnes and sure enough it was all there, I had a wire from the neterual relay that had rubbed completly through that wouldn't allow the starter to work with the start button after i paid 40.00 for a new relay. Becaust the Clymer manual told me it was a bad relay. Ok now for the spark issue another wire in the black tape( the first issue helped me find this one) I went through the entire harness anywhere where their was black tape i would remove any that had any damage and inspect for damage, so the 4 th spot i found damage was another Spor where the wire had grounded out on the frame underneith a ziptie holding the wires to the frame bada bing fire
. i spent about 20 hours and several hundred running tests that the clymer manual said to do and replace as needed.
I spent 2 hours and no money to fix the problem. THese old bikes I would start with the wiring harness and then go through the proper testing.
