I have a 250x and i could spend 2k and get my motor more like a 2 stroke with higher revving amd more accerlation.
But i think it would be better to get a 250r and make it have more toque and a larger power band.
Whats mods could i do. WOuld i pipe be able to do this? thanks for the info

also do you know any sites on 2 stroke engines? i have very limited knowledge on them thanks just a little about weed wackers.

Yes, the PSI 425 is a bad actor, but,
if this is your first 2-stroke and
you want more torque, bottom-end,
just leave it stock, add a FMF Fatty pipe, stock carb, open the air box, get aftermarket filter, change the gearing down (larger rear, smaller front) and get some Boyesen reeds. It will have a lot of bottom-end but will still rev easily to the top-end. The FMF Fatty will not make the most horsepower, but it does make the most torque.

I agree. I have all those mods to mine, except i have FMF Torque reeds. My quad has plenty of low end, and it screams. I couldn't be happier. Definately get the R man.

i went to macdizzy great site with lots of good links and articles. I cant beleive what goes into builing a high performance 2 stroke it is a science.
I dont think i will need a 425r for first real high performance bike. I read about the fatty.
thanks for the info.
