Default 2003 Kodiak, No Power

Have a buddy who's kodiak has no power. Cranks fine. Hit throttle and rpms SLOWLY come up and it won't get to full throttle. I sorta compared t to a car with a clogged catalytic converter. Pulled air box, pulled muffler, no luck. He said it started it all of a sudden. Not sure. One other thing was the air filter was not just wet, it was dripping where it was oiled. I'd appreciate any ideas.

sure it wasnt oil coming from the crank case. if ithe bike has been upside down or on it side or even a side riding a steep incline will make oil go into the airbox from the crankcase breather tube. (that is if its running between the two) i would check the carb to see if there is any trash lodged in the bowl or one of the jets. then check the valve specs.

I would check the gas cap vent tube. If it is clogged the gas can't flow freely.

my old recon used to do that when i got water in the fuel, in the tank or the bowl, but it would sputter while trying to rev up

The oil was from where the filter was oiled too much. Carb cleaned, valve lash set, fuel changed. Still the same. Told him he was gonna probably have to take it in and get it looked at. I appreciate the info guys.
