Hello,
I have a 2004 Magnum 330 4X4 that won't start. It hadn't been started for about 6 months. I replaced the battery and the spark plug. When I turn the key, I get a click. Pull starting won't start it either. I'm not much of a mechanic beyond what I've already done, but it doesn't seem to be getting a spark. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

 

I am not familar with your model, but on my trailblazer I have a box looking enclosure above my throttle. Inside it are a set of contacts. I had a problem with not being able to get mine running and this was the problem. I can't remember if the contacts have to be closed or open but adjust it open and closed and try to start it.

 

Pull spark plug,stick in plug cap against engine, with ignition on pull recoil and check for spark. If have spark,and been sitting 6 months,possible carb clean needed. On the clicking noise,IF you have a test light,check that solenoid lead to starter is getting voltage(solenoid next to battery one wire to battery,the other to the starter) OR use a screwdriver or needle nose pliers and TOUCH both posts at the same time,if starter doesnt work then probably the cause?

 

Well i wish I would have read the part where it said all it made was a clicking sound. i feel like an idiot.

 

starter probably needs to be taken apart and free the brushes. sometimes they stick from sitting up. your carb probably needs a really good cleaning because this new gas will only sit for about 30 days before it starts to gum up and go bad. even if it doesnt gum up it still wont fire.
