Cant seem to fix problem, missing and quitting especially when hot.
Had atv in shop twice to fix problem, both times said fixed. Changed plug, filter etc.
Last time I had it in they reflashed the brain and said that was problem, drove 8 miles and same problem, missing, quitting, had to milk throttle to get it home.
Am I dealing with an incompetent polaris dealer, tired of spending money taking it in, dont know what to do, only has a 1000 miles on it.
Could the brain module be shot already and if so how do you tell, dealer ran checks on it.
thanks

Hi everyone
Been doing alot of reading about he ecm module, is it true that they go bad often, I am wondering if that is my problem, even mechanic at dealer
cant find problem.
Can it be changed out by someone that isnt a mechanic or does it need special attention.
thanks everyone

Sounds like typical short in t-bap harness. kits are available if this is your problem. I've had em short wires against throttle body and where they are zip tied to main harness and break wires internally. Visually check leads for shorts, sensor located on top of throttle body in a rubber sleeve, only sensor that will move around a little. Good luck
