Default 2006 Outlander 800

Just bought a green leftover from the dealer that was uncrated and built a couple of weeks ago. For those that own one, can you tell me what issues I need to look out for? I'm having the dealer put front and rear bumpers and handguards on it. Also will get a winch fairly soon. Seems to be a lot of winches on the market so if you have a recommendation, please let me know. Rest of it is stock.

I would get some good skid plates under that thing before you go tearing it up on some trails. I've heard there are weak frame issues that are remedied with a good set of Aluminum Skids. Have fun man!

You can take all the "shootouts" and put them in one bucket and you won't have beans.

I have an 06. You need skids if you do any rock crawling. I also have had the dealer install the HPG/HD spring setup on i
mine. You can also have the dealer put it on the BUDS system and have the latest updates downloaded to the Outlander. You may also want to look into putting Rengade footrests on it. Other than that, hang on and enjoy!!!!!

Shock upgrade, the newer ones have been updated from factory.
Also the belt covers have a upgraded gasket to prevent water from entering.
Other wise have fun!

Just bought a Classic Viper 3K winch for it. Dealer wanted $600 for the Warn. I had a couple of Warns and hardly ever used them. One time the Warn on the Grizzly didn't work and had to have it fixed (out of warranty)...ouch! From what I've read, after getting past all the customer loyalty posts, the Viper will do the job for the few times I will probably use it. One thing for sure, customer service was great, buying process was easy, and I'm excited about the buy. Now....just got to install it.
