I've tried to digilently review all the posts I could find on any forum about which winch to go with for my new Outty and Popo. After due consideration, I decided to go with Viper Classic 3K winches. The Viper customer service is what everyone said it was...prompt and friendly. If the winches are half as good as Vipers customer relations, I got a great deal on a couple of capable products. While I have not installed them yet, I can vouch for the selection and buying process...talk to Peter and buy Viper!
