What kind of over the counter transmission fluid can I use for my 97 Sportsman 500? I really don't want to get it from my "local" Polaris store since it is 50 miles from my house.

i hear it has to be for chain driven transmissions.do a search,look on line. UPDATE!! Hawgleg and all, went on ebay and they have a buy it now on quarts of AGL gearcase lubricant!! might have engine oil !! don't know right now if the price is right, but its a start,probably other prices...hundred mile round trip-s#it$$$.

Anyone know if I can get this transmission fluid from an auto parts store? I have tried to find out the substitue for the Polaris Brand Transmission fluid but no luck
