New to the quad world and looking in to buying a quad for my 6 yr old boy. Found three types that are in my budget. Honda TRX 90, Polaris Predator 90, and the Kawasaki KFX 80(which I was told is the same as a LT80?). 04, 05 are the years. He wont be racing, just trail riding and occasional trip to the dunes. He's a sharp kid so I think the shifting if needed won't be a problem. Really want a reliable bike because of my lack of mechanical knowledge. thx

The TRX90 is a peach, and will take all kinds of abuse...and keep running forever. It wins all the magazine shootouts every year.

But, it is the largest of the minis, so it is only for kids who are big enough.

Awesome thx. What about manual as apposed to automatic and are the newer quads 4 stroke now or does it just matter which brand. And is there a preference between 4 stroke and 2 stroke. Is one more durable then the other or is it just the fact I have to mix oil.
